About

P1010350 (400x345)My name is Jared Bernstein and I’m going to give you my take on the latest sports news. I know what you’re thinking: ‘I need more sports commentary like the Eagles need another volunteer fireman on their offensive line.’ But I think you’ll enjoy my perspective on things, as I’m a Philadelphia sports fan who has seen his share of the good (2008 World Series), the bad (Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers — combined 68 seasons, including strike years — without a championship), and the ugly (Andy Reid’s 2011 – 2012 Philadelphia Eagles). I welcome your comments on my posts. Whether you agree or disagree with any of my views, I’d love to hear your thoughts. If you’d like to send me an email, I can be reached at jaredbernstein78@yahoo.com.

Thanks for the follow. I look forward to following you, I can read all day what the “professionals” think about things. I love hearing what the everyday fan like myself thinks about things. I have a lot of respect for Philly fans passion. I actually follow the Phillies quite closely. One of my best friends is a die hard Phillies fan so there is a lot of mutual trash talk, but it’s all in good fun. I actually used to watch Ryan Howard play summer ball when he was in high school so I am a long time fan of his. I follow the Eagles a little bit too because of Maclin. I saw Maclin play twice his Sr. year in high school and I was not impressed at all. At the time he had committed to Oklahoma and I remember saying “there is no way this kid is good enough to play at Oklahoma.” I wasn’t all that excited when he broke that commitment and decided on Mizzou. But man oh man, after he broke out in his first college game here in the dome against Illinois, it was a fun ride. Mizzou still runs the same little bubble screen play but it just doesn’t look the same without Maclin catching it and running. He is hands down one of my favorite players in the NFL.
